Starting to wonder if other biomes even exist.

Been playing since launch, and I'm getting a little frustrated. Of course I realize it's still early days and this will all probably change.
I've been roaming around as far as I can and so far all I see is green and brown and mushroom trees. There's iron, rocks, aluminium, some rare spots of copper, and lots and lots and lots of sodium and chlorine which I have absolutely no use for.
Just how far away ARE these other biomes? I can't get very far because I keep getting swamped by large, heavily armored gun wall techs that seem to neither overheat nor run out of ammo.

Other biomes exist, i promise XD If you want a piece of advice: pick a direction, left or right, just follow the coast and you will find it. The map is pretty big so just keep at a it.

maybe you want to explore without enemy`s like i did.
just rename your TechSnapshots in the tt2 folder to anything.

that will remove all enemys and you can go wherever you want.
(doesn`t include the ♥♥♥♥ up plants) :D

Heading North past the snow topped mountain will get you to the snow and swamp biomes.

I've been quite far along the coast in both directions, and past the snow topped mountain, but no luck so far. Copper is still the rarest material I found. And I still can't get very far without getting ganked by swarms of techs. At least THEY are an infinite, renewable source of resources I have no use for...

Have almost 3 biggest silos full of resources from techs. BUT zero of any resource to actually progress to build new things. And even Aluminium is becoming hard again. As I keep getting Refined and not raw for ammo,

You can break refined down into raw. And Swamp is Northwest of the start, snow is straight north.

Scrapper to break down tech items, don't use refined resource in scrapper as they give you one regular resource from refined resource not good. Once you have tractor beam then take those resources to base to put it in frag machine to get more resource out of it. It's my recommend and in my opinion.

This really helped, thank you. I was never able to push past the wall of enemies far enough to make any meaningful exploration very far.

Oh that made things make a whole lot more sense. How are you able to zoom out that far? The map view is next to useless.

There is only one snow topped mountain.

Naw, there's a smaller one. It's got one of those structures on it. More of a hill maybe, but there IS snow on top of it.

the blue topped tree biome is literally right next to spawn and thats where you can get mass silicon and some gold, from the quartz crystals.

f you notice, there's a small tech in the middle of the screen.
I didn't zoom out. I flew very high.
Check my screenshots for a progression.
