Heres a very short Guide for Niobium (for Wind Generators)

You want to head Northwest to the Swamp.
In the Swamp you get corrosive Stacks up to x50 times. This wont kill you but you take more damage while they are there.
To take them off go away from the dirty "water" or go in fresh water to get it off faster.
The Stones you want to harvest are plenty here but you need to put them in the Fragmenter cause otherwise you get nearly no Niobium.
Therefor build a forward Tech yard in the swamp and fragmenters, bring a tractory laser and kill flowers from a distance. Not a lot of Techs here to fear.

You can craft a Spray structure and cover you vehicle in some sludge for 300s that prevent corrosion

fragmenter 3-4 Niobium very bored farming with tractor beam not work right .Flat bad is ultra stupid and not work right.Consumes many energy and medium can hold only 2 big rock or 4 small USELESS better is 3x tractor But after 2 hours i have 60x niobium rafined and 500x Tantalum FOR what nothing need tantal in this phase:( cant sell it for money nothing.Normal resource laser mine from small rock 0 Niobium from big 2-3 max super chaos and bored.AND best is wind generator produc emax 20 energy ROFL really dev ? Better way is carbon generators and purifed carbon :) 30min one and carbon can have tons adn tons :) super unbalanced and death game now

Someone found a better way to gather Niobium, I find tractor beam a waste of time and I cannot make the flatbed works. It seems so waste of time going up and down to the swamp base with just 1 rock to fragment.

get a reffine base.
2 platforms
1 carbon generator
1 defragmenter
2 small silos
2 pipes (straight)
2 traktor beams (on your tech)
2 mining tools (on your tech, you get them from the delivery missions at the end)


build the extrator everywhere you want.
dig out the big junks and feed the defragmenter.
much more ores that way.
if you use only your minig laser, you destroy the yield.

what do you mean with "mining tools"? I don't think I have anything related to mining other than lasers, tractor beam, flatbed, fragmenter and a WIP mining pistol. So you basically suggest to use a mobile base to fragment the rocks, right?

what do you mean with "mining tools"? I don't think I have anything related to mining other than lasers, tractor beam, flatbed, fragmenter and a WIP mining pistol. So you basically suggest to use a mobile base to fragment the rocks, right?

I had an aneurysm from reading this.

10 stack of platforms
2 carbon generators
few stacks of refined or purified carbon
2 fragmenters
1 tractor beam
1 mining tool
lots of storage on your tech

Drive around the outside of the swamps until you find a few clusters of ore near each other. Kill anything dangerous.

Dig up all of the ore in all of the nearby clusters until each piece start moving. You'll probably get a little corrosion but now you can proceed.

Place platforms down to form a 3 platform ledge over an ore cluster. Put down carbon gen. Fuel it. Put down fragmenter over the cluster.

While the first platform ledge is working, setup a second duplicate over another ore cluster. Put down a third set of just platforms. When first platform finishes all its ore. Move buildings to the 3rd empty platform. Pick up platforms from 1st ledge, create a 4th empty platform ledge.

This method eliminates you sitting there waiting for things to finish. The tractor beam is usually not needed but is helpful occasionally.
