Ammo too expensive imho

The game is pretty tedious, yet when it comes to the base building or block crafting i am quite ok with it. What i think is too much grind for materials, is producing ammunition for the fights.

Your guns eat up the ammo like nothing, causing the resources for it to be harvested out in a large radius quickly. I feel like each craft should create 100 shots, not 10. That part of the game i am really not enjoying so far.

Augment your firepower by using your mining lasers early on (honestly you can get away with using them on most early game enemies) - only using your real guns when you really need to. After you've made a little progress, crafting ammo becomes a non-issue.

Well i am playing with friends, everything around our base is mined empty in a wide range. As we all used up ammo. So no, it is not a non issue, it is annoying. To drive forever just to get materials for more ammo.

Once setup the block recycle station your set. I have tons of aluminium and carbon. Though it does tend to give refined aluminium often. But I "believe" the masher can break those down to normal ores. Also I always use my miners to fight. Doubles my turrets in use. As at least this way half my ammo unlimited. Would use all laser BUT battery runs out fast.

The enemy tech are the way to farm intended it seem. and they respawn extremly fast

just put every chunks of ennemy you got in recycler and you'll have more resources than you'll ever get while mining / refining

use the scrapper to turn the corpses of your enemies into bullets. win win

This is why you can shoot or scrap parts - you can get tons of resources this way.

Scrapping, the way to get a ton of resources! :D Also, all these reinforced resources, can be scrapped! Meaning I from just a couple hour of scrapping have gained at least enough ammo to last me forever now, if I dont use it on something else that is.

i used two mining lasers in the beginning, then two purple beam weapon lasers, now two plasma turrets, they all fire by batterypower and ammo gets dirt cheap the further you progress and break down parts.
