Where is the swamp ?

All in the title. I just found the icy mountains zone and have yet to figure out how to not freeze my ass their. I'm wondering if I can find the swamp without going through the icy biome ?

1. From the starting area head North to the snow biome.(follow the shore line to be safe)
2. From the snow head South West.

go north till you hit the ice. past the lonely mountain.
Turn left before the ice.
The swamp is like over a small hill.
