Game not launching

For some reason the game isn't launching when I hit launch, it just shows the blue [X Stop} thing for a few seconds or so, and then it just goes back to the launch button. I have no idea how to fix this, I tried restarting and nothing works. Any tips to help?

i have tried everything aside from a fresh windows install to no avail. even fresh installs of all of my drivers. exact same issue. you should post this in the bug reports thread to garner more attention from the devs

I confirm. The game does not launch beyond the main menu. When I try to start playing, I get a black screen and back to the main menu. I reinstalled the drivers - it didn't help.

P.S. Addition - reinstallation/repair of game libraries DirectX, Microsoft .NET Framework 4, Microsoft XNA,
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010
and Visual C++ for Visual Studio 2015 also did nothing.

Same thing is happening for me, i press play the it acts like i canceled the game opening instantly like i dont get past the steam page that has the green play button

same here.. i press launche and for a few seconds steam says it is launching.. and then it just stops... i bought the game yesterday... yes ik my gou is a 1050 Ti when the minimum says 1060 but come on... it can't make thta much of a diffrence... tbh the only time i have had this problem is when a game requires players to run the game on a cpu with avx support.. which my cpu do not have.. but i managed to get around it in that game by swaping some files with a older version.. but if this game requires avx then can someone tell me what file i need to edit or remove to get the game to run?

this has also happened to me but instead of its just not launching it launches then crashed.

This game does need that, and no, you can't swap files around to get it to run.
What CPU are you using, because it's got to be at least a decade old at this point if it lacks the basic AVX instructions.
