Season 35 anomaly spotted
Hello, I'm new to this game and am still exploring the functions, but I think I have spotted the anomly. This is based on info I have attained here on the discussion pages (i.e a planet with a ring in the sky is the anomaly). *SPOILERS I GUESS* It can be seen from a moon around the star RELICX which I discovered. On the moon there is also a strange machine with two balls (representing planets/sun/moons?) spinning and TWO differenctly coloured details that look like levers or something. The coordinates for this sun is 946566961, if I guessed right at what are the coordinates in the ship UI. As a fun extra I can throw in the coordinates 946445996, where a desk with a typewriter stands alone in the dessert next to a ruied building. I named that star DESK haha :) Very exciting game, looking forward to exploring it further.

I just started playing today and not sure how things work yet.
I first spotted the ring only at 614111148 / CIRSKY.
I've also seen the ring in the sky + radio tower type thing at 559035052 / RNGTWR.
Not sure what seeing the skyring/anomaly means or where to look after you see it. I looked around all nearby stars and didn't see anything so far.

Edit: Can see the ring on 484017125 / RING3
Blimp, 491016137 / BLIMP
Monolith floaty thing that you can shoot, 385189213 / MONLTH

I found an observatory from which you can easily see the anomaly. It's very close to a star named "Yuri", which is at 286651391. I'm still having trouble pinpointing which star the anomally is located, though.

Will try to find Yuri then! I have also scouted many stars nearby without finding the correct one, but it's very exciting :)

Looking at anomaly from CORNCO 750 653 026, it seemes really light and small, so I'm guessing it's far from there at least.

Is there any way to make out where it can be by maping the sky from the surface of a planet and then comparing it to the star map in the ship? Will go back to RELICX and try some of that now. Good finds by the way people :)

That's what I've been attempting from the observatory on Yuri. Not sure if im making progress. Going to try and name more planets where I think they will show up in the constellations.

238 273 155 is a new star from which you can see the anomaly! It also houses one of those machines with two sphere circling at the top, and this one has ALOT of signs/levers or whatever they are :D I named the star FINDER btw

205 300 166 is another, which I named ONWARD, it has no puzzle except a tower that is only visible when hit with wandering triangles. The anomaly is a bit faint from here.

Edited these two into one post so I don't take up unnescessary space in the thread :)

I managed to spot it from 468220183 which I named CLOSE. It seems far away to where I was, however. Still, closer than I was before.

So, big edit for my last post: ONWARD has a star map on it that points out the names of constellations in the sky! Haha I guess I was too tired to properly explore last night when I landed on the surface... But now it has been properly explored :)

Pictures coming up!

113 871 678 is a star I named FAR, from which you can see the anomaly. It also had one of those strange machines with two spinning spheres on top, and this time I counted the square signs on it. It had 6. I don't know if the number of these correlates with the distance to the anomaly or anything like that. In this case the anomaly was far away and faint by the way. I think it would be interesting if we kept track of the number of squares on the strange machines we find and try to come up with a pattern for them :)

Good job on gathering the findings in one list :) will check out that 3D plotting tool when I have eaten. Also noticed that I have been spelling "feint" as "faint" lol

What has happened to the lined out previous paths that appeared when you turned of the lights in the ship's star map? Now I feel all lost :(

Edit: A new star named FELLOW (because of the colourful sculptures resembling a group of people standing around on its' surface) has the anomaly in its' sky! Location is 515 979 466 :)

Nice, I also though of those three systems as a good area to scout for. Only found EZ and Theuzs out in space though. So you have visited the anomaly now? :)
tranchemusic Feb 12, 2014 @ 6:46pm
Is there any easy way to find a particular star from it's coordinates? I'm having trouble aligning the star map in any sort of meaningful way.

Theusz is 102 962 260, by the way. No anomaly in sight from there, that I can see.

Has this season been solved already, since season 36 is already solved?
I also noticed today that the planet name panel shows randomly shuffling numbers instead of the planet name sometimes. And if you visit an unexplored planet while it is shuffling you won't be able to rename it once you finish it...

What exactly is the anomaly anyway? How will you know you've found it? I've been avoiding already named planets, but what if someone has found it or didn't know they've found it and named it something random...

TL:DR I've made no progress in figuring out how to find the anomaly.

Edit: here is a screentshot of the constellations from Yuri http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=227454048
