Please give us anti-aliasing
I know you left anti-aliasing out because you wanted to achieve a certain look. But: I'd enjoy this game much more if it had the option to turn anti-aliasing on.

I manually enabled FXAA and 32x AA in my videocard settings (nvidia) and it helped quite a bit

I actually enjoy no AA. But yeah I think you can enable it manually using your gfx card software.

Enabling it manually may work with a PC, but I'm on a Mac ;) Unfortunately, as Apple does not want the user to bother with advanced graphic settings, there is no manual override for anti aliasing.
I think leaving it aliased is an artistic choice, and an excellent one at that.

when the camera panned in the first scene, I immediately remembered this thread and went on to force full AA on the game - but then the first line of text appeared, i puked a little, turned off AA, saw that there are settings, cranked it to 1080p and let me tell you this:

the game looks gorgeous the way it is

It's a very good-looking game, I'm pretty much okay with their aliasing
but when the camera pans in the first scene all the jaggies blinking is a
real distraction. They've done some cool stuff in the dialogue boxes, AA
would kind of kill this ?!?!

I already posted these settings on the Greenlight page.
Actually there's a way to enable anti-alias for main textures but not text.
I fine tuned some settings with NVIDIA Control Panel.
32x CSAA + 8x supersampling enabled does the job.

No FXAA enabled.

There is easy way to get almost perfect AA with no performance hit using SMAA Injector. Windows-only.

1. Download SMAA Injector: https://sites.google.com/site/mrhaandi/injectSMAA_by_mrhaandi_1.2.7z
2. There is two folders in archive "d3d9" and "d3d10". Unpack files from "d3d9" folder to the Kentucky Road Zero installation directory.
3. Open "injector.ini" in the text editor (Notepad is OK) and replace

preset = SMAA_PRESET_HIGH

with

preset = SMAA_PRESET_ULTRA

4. Default key to toggle SMAA is "pause/break". You can change it, just replace the number here

key_toggle = 19

with any other key code. Key codes can be found here:

http://www.cambiaresearch.com/articles/15/javascript-char-codes-key-codes

5. If you have issues with the injector (game not starting, everything is white, etc.) enable Steam compatibility hack in the "injector.ini":

weird_steam_hack = 1

How to find Kentucky Road Zero installation directory:

1. In your Steam Game Library, find the game, right click it and click "Properties".
2. Click the "Local files" tab.
3. Click the "Browse local files"

This video shows how to install the SMAA Injector for the Need For Speed Hot Pursuit: http://youtu.be/D3d6oN5WWqw?t=1m27s . Unfortunately, it's in German, but it's pretty self-explanatory. Just do the same. You can skip editing "injector.ini", it's not critical, just increases AA quality slightly.

Doesn't work for me. :( The game just keeps running without a hint of AA no matter what.

There is easier way in windows. Use reshade (works in almost every existing game). Thanks to this, you can inject SMAA AA in almost any game you want very easily

Download reshade to any location you want (for example desktop).
https://reshade.me/
Click first option

From the list select game that you want - KentuckyRouteZero
Now select "OpenGL" as this game is working on OpenGl

We want SMAA, so find and select SMAA from the list and click Ok

Reshade will download several files to the location where you have game.

You can now close whole window.

How to use it?
When you are in game click "Home" button on your keyboard (you can check or skip tutorial).

In window select SMAA and there you go :)

You can enable/disable it any time you want.

Press Home again to close window.

Mmmh... how did you set AA for this game? It seems to ignore everything on NVidia driver 536.99 except FXAA (I'm using NVidia Profile Inspector).
