Game Length?
The art style and music are great, just wondering if it's worth the price. Average length of each episode?

They can be as short as 30 minutes a piece. However, that is if you just fly through it. The best way to describe this game is one which flips the concept of a mystery puzzle game. In other games, you are required to complete a puzzle or solve a mystery to progress. That is not the case with Kentucky Route Zero. Instead, what you are left with is an inviting mystery that you choose to pursue for yourself, not because the game requires you to. That being said, I have played every Acts I, II, and III at least twice each, running up about 20 hours of game play. However, this does not include the vast amount of hours I have spent researching the countless literary references scatter throughout and just contemplating the world, theme and story. I would absolutely say that it is worth the price. I have never encountered a game as smart and atmospheric as Kentucky Route Zero. However, if you have an aversion to reading, I would suggest checking out Limits & Demonstrations or The Entertainment to get an idea of how the game works. They can be found here ( http://kentuckyroutezero.com/limits-and-demonstrations/ and http://kentuckyroutezero.com/the-entertainment/ ) and they are interludes to the Acts.

I have 5 hours from act 1 and 2 combined... granted I'm the type of person with this type of game where sometimes I just stop and stare at it and think... or I drive around looking for anything I might of missed after every event.

I think the average is an hour for act 1 and two hours for act 2. Obviously give or take depending on how you play.... act 3 just came out and I haven't had a chance to sit down with it yet.

Maybe worth noting is that I plan to start again from Act 1, and go suuuuper slow again. So by the time I finish Act 3 I'll probably have 12-13 hours played. Most people coming in fresh will probably have around 5 hours total from 1 to 3.... but thats just a guess.

Obviously I think its VERY worth the price, but keep in mind its a very different experience. So maybe go out and read some reviews or maybe watch a stream of Act 1... make sure its an experience you are actually wanting.

I completely agree with Volder. I have 35 hours right now amassed between the first 3 acts—I've played each twice through, but separately, so I am thinking of doing a full run-through once again. Personally, I love taking the game in slowly, just wandering around, exploring, possibly hoping to see if I've missed anything or exploring all the different dialogue options… and, like Volder said, that's not counting time spent researching stuff or playing the two intermission episodes.

Also, Act III is much more involved than the past two, keep in mind.

I'd also suggest checking out Limits & Demonstrations to get a feel for what the game is like.

Considering fact that there are only 3 out of 5 episodes noone can tell you anything about 4th and 5th episode. I'd wait till game is complete.

Well, even if Act's IV and V are terrible, I still think I have gotten my money's worth.

Was thinking the very same thing, was I.

Agreed. Based on Cardboard Computer's past work and the first three acts so far, though, pretty sure they'll be great…… just a guess.
