We're going to make sure this system is working properly in 4 then look at wrapping it back in to a Studio Pro update as well so that everyone can use it.
So people who own the previous version are still able to use it? That's a really nice feature, I'm glad it wasn't left out of the AR3 updates as it was causing some performance issues with some people.
Thanks for being helpful and answering all my questions, by the way, I'm glad to know I can always ask for help and receive an answer.
This is quite annoying, as I use Steam on a Windows Machine for gaming and don't want to be thrown out out this account every time I use ArtRage on my Mac.
That actually helped me too. :P Now I can run it without Steam in the background.
I was curious in case I ever wanted to buy a new version of the program (hopefully not for a few more years though :P) and didn't necessarily want to be restricted to Steam for the inevitable discount for already owning it.
Does that mean that future discounts for newer versions can only be used through Steam?
Dose doing this make it so that I can run it without an internet conncection? I curretnly have a shortcut for ArtRage 4 but it is an internet shortcut, so if my internet is down I'm out of luck.
Try the .exe file located in your steamapps folder. You can find it in your program files.
Thanks so much! I got it working now! Do you know if this works for other programs/game purchased on Steam (assuming that they don't require an internet connection to run?)
Worked for Scribblenauts but I am not sure about others, you'd have to look in their folders and see if there's a similar file.
Alright thanks.
