The Giant Generator in thunder tower?

So I'm missing the two secret events from thunder tower..
The stat reveal says that I need to explore them while having at least 1 generator build..

I must have been exploring these for 10 hours or so, killing monsters at top speed with 32 creatures also exploring thunder tower (not sure if that helps), and I've yet to get this event..

Am I missing something?
Does it need to be a specific floor or am I just really unlucky?

minimum of floor 2 required for the generator. Also you need to explore thunder tower personally, not your creatures.

Dip into divination for this. Like Serpentarius said, stick to floor 2 minimum, but use foresight to see when events are coming up(so you can explore/do other stuff in the meantime), then cast "Bend the Odds" to increase the odds of a storyline event.
