Can't make warehouse (23) because I need more max stone storage?

Consider going for Exploration and building a Monstruarium. It also stores iron, stone and wood (moreso per building than Warehouses do early on, actually!)

did it work? I am at the same spot but I cannot expand the monsterarium, b/c the vault is too small, and can't do the vault cause not enough stone. And I need 3100 mana but I can't build the next shard.

Yep so all storages are red, mana shard is red. I don't have a path to continue.

You have to clear basement floor 3 on exploration. This will unlock the Upgrades feature, which will increase the amount of resources you can store etc.

Another work around, put on the wizards cloak, +400 Mana. 3162 is what it takes and the shards took you to 3100. With it on you are allowed to make it. Which might be a bug? Shhhhh. :)

I am actually at this same impass, only later in the game. I have 159 warehouses, but I can't build more because I cant get enough gold. I can't build another vault because I can't get enough stone, and I can't build another Monstorium because I can't get enough mana. I have all the available storage upgrades unlocked and I have made all of the highest +Mana items I can. I *do* have some items I can make, but it needs Magic Cloth, which I can make, but I don't have the area to get the magic wool... so I'm stuck.
I have tried progressing in exploration, but the masters just wipe me out. I do have a set of fighting gear that has the highest stats I can make.
