Report a translation problem
1. Open the folder Cities XL Platinum located on the hard disk.
2. The default path is the Local Disk (C:), Program Files or Program Files (x86), Steam, SteamApps then Common.
3. Open the folder Data then the folder Config.
4. Right click the file GlobalSettings.cfg and click Edit or open the file using the Notepad.
5. Go to <Application>.
6. Set Win32FullScreen to 0:
<Win32FullScreen>0</Win32FullScreen>
7. Save the file GlobalSettings.cfg and run the game.
As soon as you experience major slowdowns with your city, please save your city then quit the game (go back to the main menu) and reload your city.
I modified config file as NutsMammoth describe and I have black screen after intro.
1. Run Steam and click Library.
2. Right click Cities XL Platinum and click Properties.
3. Click Local Files tab then Verify Integrity of Game Cache button.
4. Run the game.
B. Otherwise, please reset the game settings:
1. Open the Local Disk (C:).
2. Open the folder Users.
3. Open the folder of the username.
4. Open the folder AppData (*)
5. Open the folder Local.
6. Open the folder Focus Home Interactive.
7. Delete the folder Cities XL Platinum.
8. Run the game.
WINDOWS VISTA/WINDOWS 7
(*) The AppData folder is an hidden folder by default. To view this folder, click Organize from the top left then Folder and search options.
Click the View tab and check 'Show hidden files, folders and drives' under 'Hidden files and folders' in the 'Advanced Settings' window.
Click the OK button.
WINDOWS 8

Click the tab View and check 'Show hidden files, folders and drives' under 'Hidden files and folders' from 'Advanced Settings'.
Click the button OK.
Note: As soon as you experience major slowdowns with your city, please save your city then quit the game (go back to the main menu) and reload your city.
