On the side, there are many builds for Hybrid Priests focusing on DPS and Tanking certain mobs. But, if you plan on End Game content, like this game is all about, as a hybrid you will do Ok in solo Colisseum but you will "NOT" be in demand and will be given "LOWEST" priority vs. other DPS classes in Raids. More specifically, Rangers and other DPS classes will have vastly more DPS than a Hybrid priest can provide.
Now, if you would have asked about an "Acolyte" and the potential to be a "Monk", the answer will be different.
