I read about a guy that had to use them all to advance class for some reason, possibly a bug, but I used the points I wanted on my Mage and left the rest unused, There's no real benefit though, since as of a few updates ago, there's a skill reset for all classes (both attribute and skill points) after they get the advanced one, as far as I remember.

Link? No, but when I made my fighter a warrior it did reset both skills and attribute points. And it's like that for all classes as of... July - April I believe.

As for Saving your points, I had over 12 points saved up on my Mage before going to Wizard...saving them is a good idea since a skill reset voucher cost $6.

There was a Hypnosist NPC that would give you a free reset way, way back in 2011 but this was an event prior to RO2 going F2P.

As of right now though only two classes get a free reset which is:

- Archer >> Beastmaster, Beastmaster class use spear and won't be able to use Bow type skill.

- Acolyte >> Monk, Monk won't be able to use heal and buffs, but martial arts.

so im a swordsman or magician i wont be able to reskill, cept paying real money.

You can either pay real money which is $6 or you can farm zeny an buy one off the auction house. I have not played RO2 in awhile, they used to cost 1200-1500 zeny don't know if they're still the same though.

I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up there, it was July - August, since that's when I created the warrior, and I found the post I was thinking of http://steamcommunity.com/app/231060/discussions/0/846959998115135898/ here you go.

How's this related to the post? But just to clarify, no, Warriors use parry and Knights use block, period.

You won't really have block until you get the ability to block, which is at Lv. 25.
