How do I zoom out?!

I use a laptop touchpad and I swear nothing I do helps me zoom out to a normal distance. I've tried the normal scrolling way most games use plus any number of rightclick-leftclick-alt-ctrl-shift-etc I can think of. Can anyone help me out?

Normally it is mousewheel, however, you may be able to setup hotkey to do this by pressing escape and editing the hotkeys. I would give you better directions but we are in maintenance and I can't connect either : )

Ah no that's fine, it occurred to me to ask the question at a dumb time, apologies. I did look at the hotkey setup a while ago but couldn't find anything helpful. I'll try again next time I play. Thanks for the response!

Maybe an idea to get an USB mouse with scrollweel? They not that expensive and you will have a lot more advantage than RO2 only.. I have one too connected to my lappie..
