What's classes are in demand the most?
Pretty much what the topic says.

Yes I think people should play what they want to play; but I also would like to get a sense on what is in demand in the game. Since I have been playing to me it seems that all manner of Healers or Tankers are missing from the game.

More people seem to favor DPS & PvP type classes more then PvE.

Just trying to get other peoples view on the matter.

Statisticly, Healers are most in demand (priest healers), Sorcs are good all around. After that its W/E you feel like. Most of the tanks are the same if anything they all are just minor variations of eachother.

Archer Becomes:
Ranger: Standard Ranged DPS built for sustained damage
Beast Master: Tank that focus's on self survival/Self Healing, even has a 100% damage resist panic button when maxed. High HP Ok damage resist and parry if specd right. Still a good DPS if you focus on that too.

Thief Becomes:
Rogue: Very DPS and potion oriented. Most of the skills are doping for giving you random based boosts of DPS/Crits. Main skill to max out is unstable doping.
Assassin: Very DPS oriented melee class

Magician Becomes:
Wizard: Fireballs R' Us
Sorcerer: Hybrid DPS Healer. Can be spec'd to be almost as good as a priest or almost as good as a Assassin in DPS depending on where you put your points. Or just go hybrid so you can do either fairly well on the fly.

Swordsman Becomes:
Knight: Tank with a Team Based damage resist skill and gains extra damage resistance from equiping a shield.
Warrior: Primarily DPS but just as good a tank if you focus on dodge, parry rates. Has defender skill that increases dodge, parry, defense passivly and has more active skills for self survival compared to knight (but still PALES in comparison to the self suvival skills of the Beastmaster)

Acolyte Becomes:
Priest: Yep.. a healer
Monk: Another Take on Tank. Solo based tank with a very high defense rate when spec'd right. Has a few good self-survival skills and does good DPS even as tank spec.

Typical last slots in raid pugs are sorc, wiz and priest.

I am playing a Acolyte in the game as my main I do have one of each class right now, except for the magician. I haven't desided weather I want Priest (FS/Magnus/OS) or Monk (Tank/OT/DPS) I am hoping that all classes once at Lv. 25 get a skill reset, since I know my acolyte is messed up. For the Thief I have always like the RO1 Rogue however, I'm not sure what to think of them in RO2. I was hoping for for a bulky armored paladin (crusader) but I notice they combined the skills for knight/crusader into one class. As for the archer, I am noticing they're pretty strong once they get DS 5/5 not much should stand in there way.

To virpyre. You get a stat reset if you choose to become a monk. But not a skill reset. You have to buy a skill reset scroll from the auction (1200+ zeny) or buy with real money from kafra shop.
