Magician Help What is the best path?
I'm level 13 and have been putting most of my points in fire things i've maxed out fire bolt and fire ball (was that smart?) should i but the rest in fire emblem and fire ball mastery? is it worth it? or should I start maxing out the other skills like cold bolt and lighting bolt?

Depends whether you're going sorcerer or wizard really. If you're going sorcerer you probably shouldn't have maxed firebolt.

until lvl 25 (pretty much all classes) u can get away with lvl 1 skills if your wondering.
(skills are % based so considering low stats you wont gain much from skill lvls till higher lvl / higher end equipment so basically you can save skill points for your 2nd class tier skills when you job change).

Like Munsu said, just keep most of your skills at lvl 1 until you reach 25 so you can put them into your second class skills. I have a lvl 24 mage; atm, the only skills I have above lvl 1 are seal of wind (lvl 3) and frost diver (lvl 3) for 2x thunder/lightning damage. Your magic damage dealt by your spells will increase as you level up, get better gear, and put stat points into INT/AGI.

Putting points into Fireball is not the most efficient use of those skill points, esp. if you're going Sorcerer. Many of the points that could be spent on those lvl 1-25 skills are better off saved until later so you can put more points into the lvl 25+ skills.

Oh if only i would have known I would have saved them, so it was a mistake maxing out firebolt and fireball, i'm only at lvl 13 so i guess ill save the rest for the next class. Whats the difference sorcerer or wizard???

Wizard has a lot more area damage, sorcerer has burst single target and area dot heals.

In the beggining of the game level1-13 you don't use area damage, you normaly fight one on one mosters does this changes later in the game? whats better in your opinion single target attacks or area damage?

For most of your leveling it's 1v1 monsters, but when you go into dungeons that's when area damage is important. Both single target and area damage is good, you're going to need both in dungeons.

I'm playing a mage right now just starting and I can't find a (current) skill tree guide anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find one?
