Guardians don't do anything?

I got and completed the job quest in order to summon my guardian but when I do, all that happens is I get an energy-ball looky thing that follows me around and does nothing else... Am I missing something?

look at the top right corner. You get buffs from them.

Thtat ball of energy buffs you for a few seconds (while it's activated), the bonus increases with invocation lv.

you get a crafting quest every 10 lvls to upgrade your guardian, that wisp eventually takes a shape based on your profession, and will eventually aid you and combat and i believe also comes with a profession specific skill at 50

Actually I've been wondering about that as well, my guardian is lvl 3 and im job 50 artisan and still dont see how i can use guardian skills other than the movement buff... and i don't see any skills available to use or bindable buttons either.

If I'm not wrong lv3 is the max lv already!

Well, the skill is summoning your profession guardian... So it's implemented.
(The energy ball as he mentioned on the topic at hand is the guardian at lv1 summoning).

The default key to activating your guardian skill for the buffs they provide is "V". I did read in a RO2 Forum (not on Steam) that they will still be adding some tweaks in the future like providing a skill to use when you activate your guardian.

Talking about the guardian specific skills. Im sure everyone notices the movement and haste/vigor buff.
