Black Screen

I keep getting black screens every time i load up the world loader. Anyone got a fix?

I keep getting that, too. The command buttons and all that are visible, but the background is black. I found that unchecking the Outfocussing, Shadow and Sunlight effect make it reappear, but it glitches the in-game graphics. Talking to an NPC will have me looking at an all blue screen but it's somewhat playable like that. Hope I could help.

This just happend to me too i havent been able to fix it yet anyone else have any ideas?

I had that issue (could see the buttons but not much else) when I had AA forced on for my video card. When I disabled it for Ragnarok it worked fine. Not sure if you are having the same issue, but it's worth a check I think.

yeah i can hear the music and click things but the screen is completly black

Does disabling Advanced Shadow work?

yes disabling all 3 check boxes in graphics options fixed the problem instantly

That's odd, because I have AA enabled in my Nvidia Graphics Panel and now it runs fine. I have also made some other changes like Ambient Occlusion and Multisample AA in the global settings, that fixed it for me.

i noticed if you uncheck the sunlight effect it will show the picture in the server list screen and if you uncheck shadow effect you get the picture for the character creation screen, hope that helps

I fixed this on my system by entering the program specific 3D settings of my gfx card (nvidia). I added the Rag2.exe application to the list and changed the Antialiasing Mode to "Application Controlled." You can leave those boxes checked in the in-game settings if you do this.

I've been able to see everything perfectly fine, But I just can't find the place where you type in your name. (This is my first time playing and I want to actually play.) Please, can someone help me?!?! ;-;-;-;-;-;

What you have to do is go to options and turn shadows down to the lowest setting or something.

It turned out it was actually my graphics card messing up i just has to tweak the voltage on it and it fixed it
