Ragnarok 2 not launching

I have a windows 7 laptop and the game doesnt launch when I hit play.
I have followed pretty much all solutions listed like: Changing compatability to xp with service pack 2 and 3, while giving admin previlages.

I also tried verifying the files through steam - which only made them re-download, but nothing changed.

I further restarted my laptop and it didnt work either.

So any other options left out?

Did you check already if you have installed MS Visual C++ 2010 Redist and Nvidia PhysX? Both installation files can be found under "_CommonRedist" folder of your RO2's installation folder (note that there can be newer versions of Nvidia PhysX but this works for RO2)

If only you understood Ragnarok. The very first version still has tons and tons of private servers out there.
I am a returning fan, who played them for about 3 years. There are very few games out there that have such good skills, quests, maps, etc. I'm still not aware of a game which uses so many keyboard keys to play it (I remember using all 3 rows of characters for the guild battles)...

Being a person who setup his private server for a few days, taught me how to fix this once i stumbled up a clue.

In C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Ragnarok Online 2\SHIPPING
U will find a Rag2 zip, extracting and replacing the Rag2.exe with the one in zip resolves it all :)

wow first time I read about this fix. Now there is another thing to check if another person have this issue

Usually this is done for private servers, where they would want to load the original game (big setup file.. called as Sakray and one other name) from a generic site (like gravity's) and then request players to install the private server's
installer which has this file.

Razer Synapse prevents the launcher working for me, as soon as i close that game loads fine, not sure if that applies to you.
