Try typing sv_ch into the console then hitting tab to let the game auto-fill the command instead of typing the whole thing. It should also list the current state of sv_cheats when you hit tab.
So without having done anything, if I type a cheat command, it says "sv_cheats must be enabled"
AFTER I enter "sv_cheats 1" when I enter a cheat code it doesn't give me the same "sv_cheats must be enabled" message again, but nothing happens. All that changes is that I don't get the system message that cheats are not enabled. But the cheats don't work.
Thanks for trying to help me.
Is there a file I need to alter first?
Thank all for the help, I'll find an updated list for weapons,
impulse 9 will give you all weaps fully loaded and both keys
impulse 255 will give you quad damage
give # (replace # with 1-8) will give you specific weapons
give s 100 will set your shell count to 100
(n for nails, c for cells, r for rockets, h for health)
You can feign death by typing give h 0. You're not really dead as you can do give h 100 and be alive again. Doing this will also make vore homing missiles instantly vanish!
Oh ya, when you give yourself a specific weapon, be sure you also have ammo for it to switch to it.
(weird thing is that the give commands are in the engine, sv_ccmds.c, while the impulse commands were in the QC code, weapons.qc.)
I was looking at sv_ccmds.c, and am wondering what 'give 9' does. I don't quite understand what IT_SHOTGUN<< (t[0] - '2' quite means. t[0] would have to be 9. 9-2 would be seven, but the 2 is in quotes, making it a character not a number!?
Just hold down 'g' to play dead, let go to come back alive
You can be killed though while playing dead, like getting squished in a door. Then you might fall through the floor (just noclip back into the map.)
LOL, while moving you can play dead, and become a rolling bowling ball!
