What is the most loyal source port?
I love quake but i've been looking for a source port that is faithful to the original game. (I.E. Chocolate Doom.) for that old fps feeling but when I looked it up the answers seemed very mixed.

You can get Fitzquake Mark V to look pretty close to vanilla GLQuake. If you want software mode I think WinQuake is what you'll need.

WinQuake?

It's literally the DOS version but ported to Windows environment and supporting higher resolutions and some other things. It's official too, although if you have a wide screen, you might want to use some modern 3rd party source port instead.

QuakeSpasm is pretty faithful to the original. And you can tweak the settings to make it look like WinQuake or the original just Quake Dos. It's pretty awesome and super moddable.

Darkplaces & Quakespasm don't have music either.

And they shouldn't. Check guides here on steam how to get music.
