Underwater distortion effect?

I love Quakespasms but why doesn't it have the same underwater effect as WinQuake?

use vkquake, its quakespasm but it uses vulkan, it has the distorion effect, mod compatibility and you can play with unlimited frames without the crazy psycics

...or use fteqw which has a lot of nice graphic features, included support for modding hd textures, models, and so on. Also try out my rtlights :(

Use Mark V port which draws underwater properly, AND you get plenty of options to choose between vanilla and modern settings via menus instead of console variables.
