bind <key> "impulse <#>"
impulse 1 - axe
2 - shotgun
3 - super shotgun
4 - nailgun
5 - super nailgun
6 - grenade launcher
7 - rocket launcher
8 - thunderbolt
e.g.
bind e "impulse 6"
binds grenade launcher to e
to fire it off is a bit trickier, I think you can do something like "bind e 'impulse 6;wait;+attack;wait;-attack'" although this may end up being clumsy. Some console elites could probably clarify
no
At least in QuakeSpasm you can't set individual weapons in the menus. I think you can in DirectQ, but obviously you're better off using the console anyway.
That's how good I am.
k, nobody asked. Nobody cares
Was looking for this, thanks
"program file(x86)" "steam" "steamapps" "common" "quake"
in the folder Quake there is two subfolder, Docs and ld1
go to ld1 and open "config" using notepad, then you can from here you should be able to hotkey the weapons you want, but it cannot be a capital letter so for example if you want to assign E for the super shotgun it must be "e" and not "E".
But Q can't be bound. That silly wheel always sticks bound.
use "unbindkey q". Without the quote marks ofc
It's annoying how crude Quake is. I get no info that it wasn't bound. And why do I even need this command? I just could rebind others. But. No. You need yet another command like an idiot...
