Roofing Bug
Had a wooden building for a kitchen/mess hall area. placed the indoor kitchen inside. once it was built it places the created meals stack on the other side of the wall out in the elements... So i said no problem i will add two more rows of floor to capture this area (that shouldve been shown in the ghost image when placing, but it doesnt).
Added the extra floors, walls, tore down the old wall on that side and went to add the extra two rows of roof to the already existing large roof... nope, the game makes you re build the ENTIRE *** roof.
Normally i wouldnt care but in this game if your 8 dudes are gathering wood, sawing into planks, and building, they have zero time to make food which is an absolute must at all times.

and now the roof is bugged even more.. so while being forced to remake the ENTIRE roof again, it gets to about 98% done and never finishes yet continually keeps throwing planks at it nonstop trying to complete it..... I ended up just starting a new save... sigh

I think the walls and roof have to be made of the same material. Same thing happened to me with tarp building and trying to put plank roof on. The roof stayed at 99% until I finally replaced it with tarp roof and it actually got built. Its so confusing because you dont know if its bugged out or just not compatible.

mine was the same material, planks. But i have since restarted a new save and have several other issues going on now.

Having the same issue with an all tarp structure. Sits at 98% and with plenty of materials required for finishing it. Then I can not select the items inside the building because the mouse is just hovered on ".....98% complete".

yeah the game just needs a lot of work. Its not even ready for a demo state.
