You'll probably want to wait until the game is released before you try it. Their first game hasn't been finished (in Early Access), and they are now releasing this game soon. I imagine you won't be stoked if you purchase it now and when it's not completed in two years they announce a new game instead.
As long as these devs fully intend to actually finish both games and not release it into 1.0 before it's ready, then I'm happy to support them in their endeavour to try something new.
Well, it might depend on how expensive it's going to be because if it's a little too pricy, I might wait a bit for it anyway :p
Plus Sun Haven is not really good at optimisation part, so i expect Sun Down to lag like hell. We can also notice how Sun Haven no different from Stardew Valley at all and not expanding farming genre any further... Which means this next game will not try to outplay Vampire Survivors at all.
...
As for RogueLike and RogueLite farms, i suggest trying Farm for Your Life, Against The Storm, Riftbreaker and maybe, just maybe, Genesis Alpha One. Honestly, there are plenty of these like Anno 1800 and upcoming SteamWorldBuild with randomness. On android you should definitely check Square Valley.
