La-Mulana
Experienced folks, please give me some hints!
Hey guys. I'm roughly 19h into this game and I'm at a point where I'm super stumped as to what puzzles I can even do right now. Here's a list of items I have collected so far and the areas I've been to (plus Twin Labyrinths and Temple of the Moon which I don't have the upgrade to be able to teleport to those places yet):
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=280990090
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=280990072
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=280990050

And some of the other stuff I've done that you can't tell from the items:
-Defeated the bosses in the Gate of Guidance, Mausoleum of the Giants, and Temple of the Sun
- Pulled the plug at the bottom of Spring in the Sky which made the water leak into the right part of Temple of the Sun
- I have not been able to defeat the miniboss in Twin Labyrinths yet. This is currently the only available goal I know of that I haven't been able to beat.
- The only item from the shops I've been to that I haven't bought yet is Space Capster II.

From what I've been able to gather the mirror seems to be the big item to try to get right now, as I think that's how you defeat the Spring in the Sky miniboss, but I have no idea where to get it. A guy in Spring in the Sky tells me it's inside a dark room, but I haven't been to any dark rooms yet.
Also, the griffon at Temple of the Sun is blocking a door but I have no idea if I need a special item to make him move. Nothing seems to do anything to him.

If you guys could be so kind as to either give me a hint on what rooms I should have the tools to solve puzzles in, or relevant messages that I might have overlooked that provide relevant clues to my current situation, I would really appreciate it. It should also go without saying but please avoid spoilers if possible.Thanks.

If you've found the Serpent Staff, there's a very specific boss that becomes vulnerable when you equip it as a usable item. Sometimes good things can be found in places outside of the La-Mulana Ruins.

Yeah the dude with a bunch of eyes was the obvious go-to place once I got the staff. :p
The air jump is nifty indeed.

Which speaking of, with it I was able to reach an area in the Mausoleum (that might also be reachable with just the claw) in the room where the bronze mirror eye door is, where there's like a button at the top left platform. When I press it two symbols appear above me but then disappear. The secrets horn doesn't ring when I press it so I assume nothing happens because of it, but I figure it has to have a purpose.
I'm not sure if I should feel silly for not getting what I'm supposed to do even with 4 of the Eden tablet messages. ;u;
The ones I have are:
- [...] Mind thy manners, and open them starting with the one closest. (this one leads to believe it has something to do with those 4 gold chests next to the treasure chest)
- [...] Stand before a face of the highest rank, in a place bathed in moonlight. (I was thinking it might be Mulbruk but she doesn't say anything. I can't really think of anyone else who might be it)
- [...] Find the source of the phenomenal trap, in a place bathed in moonlight. (I would guess this is the trap on the bottom of Moongazing Pit where when you press the button walls close around you and a spiked ceiling drops on you. The secrets horn even rings but I can't figure out what I could do. If I stay inside, I die. If I leave, there's nothing else interatible in the room and if I leave it the trap resets. I also thought of teleporting out after triggering the trap and maybe talk to Mulbruk but no dice.)
- [...] Solve the four puzzles. Search ou the place they point towards.

Are these enough to figure out the problem? I apologize for constantly asking stuff but some of these puzzles just seem a tad too obtuse.

Update: From Graveyard of the Giants I found an entrance to Temple of Moonlight that solved part of the zigzag maze on the lower left part of the map. Gonna explore this area more and see if I can find more useful stuff.
Update2: Oooh, found a 5th Eden plate in here.
Update3: And I think I've done all I can here for now. It seems I need a new seal to open one of the chests.
Update4: I found out what the 5th Eden plate puzzle was. It was interacting with those 4 hands (this one was perhaps a tad too easy :p). Now a button appeared near the 5 chests. Researching this atm.

-The Mausoleum thing: That's part of a bigger, fairly complex (and optional) puzzle that isn't fully available until later in the game (if you don't cheat, that is!).
-Looks like you figured out 1/4 of the Eden clues. Nice! The other three parts of the puzzle are very similar in nature, and shouldn't be too hard to figure out now. Also, bear in mind the clues end with "in a place bathed in moonlight", meaning the elements of the puzzle are all contained inside the moon temple. That means Mulbruk has nothing to do with it (she's in the sun temple).

Oh, you just had to examine the trap button. Derp.

2 puzzles left.
Update: 1 left. So it seems the puzzles unlock the buttons to open the gold chests.
Update2: On the room to the right of the one with the chests I just noticed that little circular thing represented the symbol wheel in the Mausoleum. I went back and put it in the same position but nothing happens. ;u;
Update3: I got the fruit!

Cool! Now you can enter one of the most confusing areas in the game. Prepare yourself for a slew of some of the bigger, more obscure head-scratchers this game has to offer. Yay! :P
Before you poke youer way inside Eden, you might want to take a peek through the reverse field of the Mausoleum, as there are a few very handy items that can be picked up now that you have access to Double Jump. It's up to you, but you may also want to start working towards unlocking the fifth Guardian at some point too.

I did search that already but one of the chests seems to be opened by a Seal I don't have yet and the other is in an area I can't seem to be able to reach at the moment.

I also got to a place called Tower of Ruin I believe, but I explored it just briefly once. Is it an area worth of exploring now?

Update: Nevermind, found a shop I hadn't seen previously in Graveyard of the Giants. Gonna buy the Silver Shield.

Well, since you have the double jump, most of the Tower of Ruin should be accessible for you. As for whether or not it is worth exploring right now, that's your call. At some point you will have to explore it, though.
You'll need to explore the Tower of Ruin thoroughly in ordser to unlock some important things (Notably, the way to get to the next Guardian in line) and some things related the whole puzzle of the ruins later on in the game.

As for finding the missing seal, have you plundered all of the chests in the Chamber of Extinctoin yet? It sounds like you're missing one.. There might be an breakable wall and an invisible jumpmaze to navigate that you missed out on.

As for the Graveyard f the Giants there are two treasures that need Double Jump to claim, one you need a Seal to unlock, the other just jump into a certain place to place a weight on.

Just dropping by to say hello and to encourage you to keep exploring! with roughly 50 hours on steam la mulana and around + hours with wii one, i am finally closing to the end!Reaching that last bit of the game is so weird as it makes me feel i don't want to go to the end and finish the whole adventure :)
On topic - Graveyard of the giants is indeed a place you should explore, i spent a lot of hours in that place figuring it out and how its connected to other areas and some of the items you can get there are very very usefull later on battling it out with the big guys :)

Yeah, I'm still missing the chest behind the blue laser. Ugh, that area is such a pain to explore. But guess I have to do it. ;u;

Update: Alright, found the Life Seal, thank goodness. Peace out, Chamber of Extinction!
Update2: And got the crucifix.
Update3: And got the gauntlet.

There's also a very important piece of Software hidden in the Graveyard of the Giants to find too. One that will make life much easier as you dive deeper into some of the reverse fields.

Oh the software that lets me teleport to these alternate areas? Oh man I want that so bad. Time to do some more exploring.
Luckily for you, it's very easy to find.
