Need tips for Tiamat
Hey, I am a bit stuck at Tiamat atm. She has a lot of health and take a lot of damage in her first two forms even with axe + damage increasing programs and an attack fairy equipped. Can you use the gun on her or are there any tactics that can significantly reduce the tedium involved with her?

I don't think you can use the gun on her in the remake, I believe her hair blocks the shots somehow. As for defeating her... well, what is killing you? The chip damage throughout the fight? The megasuperlaserofdoom? Also, what items do you have? Using the flail whip with the software combo might be better, if you can get the timing right (don't just spam the attack, most bosses in this game have invincibility frames). Also, if you got all the life orbs so far, you might be able the do the "speedrun" approach, turning the fight into a dps race.

Generally speaking:
- I don't know if she bypasses the effects of the fairy vest/clothes, but it won't hurt you to go get it anyway (if you didn't already). The only reasons I can think of for not getting these would be for a certain achievement or if you don't know where it is and don't want to get spoiled somehow.
- If you are taking too many hits, the software combo to prolong your invincibility frames might be better for you. It's also necessary if you're going to damage rush her.
- This is a given, but try to stay between her arms, so you can attack her constantly. Also, don't just use the axe/whip, try to shoot a couple flares as well (preferably with the ring) while you drop. It's small damage, but it's free dmg and it adds up. That is, unless you're going for the other achievement as well.
- When she goes in the back and use her waterfall-looking attack, stay below one of the small platforms to avoid damage. You can cheese the big charged lasers with caltrops. I don't remember if it's this way for phases 2 and 3, or if it's just the later, but she alternate between 1 and 2 lasers each time she does it. Using caltrops is good not only for avoiding damage, but also because you can stay in the middle and deal some damage (even if with just flares, if you don't want to risk jumping into the laser you just avoided and look like an idiot). It's possible to get back in the middle while dodging the lasers the "intended" way, but it's obviously much harder.
- IIRC, the green hair lasers do small damage, so if you have to choose between getting hit by it or running into her hitbox (such as her arms), go for the laser.

Thanks, but in the end I just swapped the attack fairy for a shield and could grind it out. I used invincibility frames and my subweapons to damage boost through her phase 3 lasers with minimal damage. Only Mother left now :)
I've done all the bosses on hard mode for the achievement all I need is one Finger. You can see my strat for tiamat here.

Mother is also there if you get stuck on her.

Thanks, but I already beat the game :)
