Cannot play online or multiplayer join code.

Please help... I have been trying for the past two days to play online with friends but I cannot seem to find any lobbies. I have reinstalled the game several times with no luck. Single player works and run just fine. When I host a lobby, it is as if i just started a solo gameplay.

I am playing the game on my Mac (M4) through crossover. I have not had any issues playing other online games similar to this one through the same platform (I've played escape the backrooms, backrooms escape together, lethal company, panicore). If anyone has experienced this or more importantly, found a solution for me to try, please let me know.
