Upcoming Updates
Hello creature savers!

We want to thank you all once again for your feedback, reviews, and support — it helps us not only improve the game but also grow as developers.

In addition to these important fixes in the just released Hotfix 1.0.1, we’re excited to share our roadmap for future patches. Please know that we are actively reading all of your feedback, whether it’s on Steam reviews, discussions, or our social networks.

Currently, the two main topics of discussion are Creature Respawns and Missing Collectibles. We’ve been working internally on solutions to improve both issues, but since these changes impact the game's design, we need to carefully test how they affect the overall experience.

Over the coming weeks, we will be implementing these solutions and testing them with our QA team. We’re committed to addressing both concerns and will share more details about the upcoming changes next week.

We are a small team, but rest assured we're working hard to make Ava the best it can be. Thank you for your continued support and patience!

Hi, I found out about this games because it's now listed on AMD community website,
as having FSR 3.1 implemented ...

also, it popped up & is included in XBox Game Pass PC,
so i installed it and gave it a quick go..

I like the vibe of the game / it's visual design so far,

but regarding FSR in particular:

is FSR 3.1 really already implemented / more precisely,

has FSR 3.1 already been implemented in the XBox Game Pass Version of the game?

just curious,

because, currently:

A) in game, it still only just says " FSR 3 " in options menu
B) at least for the WinGDK version on game pass,
there is no amd_fidelityfx_dx12.dll present anywhere,
neither is any of the other "amd" or "ffx" dll files..
C) AMD Frame Generation is available,

but unfortunately only if you use FSR 3,

and not decoupled, so you cant use it with any other upscaler yet if you'd prefer to (like TSR or DLSS which is present, or XeSS which is not implemented)

also, please consider unlocking the "resolution scaling factor slider" for FSR and other upscalers,
rather than just the fixed presets (so you could use, say FSR 84% eg, instead of FSR quality = 66%)

Thank you for the update! This is super important to me. I bought the game to support you guys with hopes that these specific points would be addressed, and am waiting to play (and review) until these changes are in. I hope I won't have to wait too long! :charm:

I see that you use a statement along the lines of "we are an indie studio" or "we are a small team" at the end of most of your posts. I hope you won't use that as an excuse to to not fix and make the game better. I hope you realise that a lot of people are liking what you've created which is why they are actively pointing out the issues.

In the end, you can't just create something awesome and then say that you are an indie studio. You've already shown us what you are capable of!

Had a slight issue with the achievements, I finally found the Underground Hall, which was the penultimate achievement (the last one was get all achievements), but didn't receive the achievement for all achievements, does it all have to be done in one-run for that?

My main issue was being locked out of areas, and creatures not respawning to 100% things. Two ideas: the ability to recall creatures from the Bioark or learning the skills from the creatures so Vic can do them by herself.

the being locked out of areas if you accidentally miss something (the details in environments really horrendously blend together in this game probably because of the art style?, making areas extremely missable even to trained eyes) is probably my only real gripe about this game. "try agains" shouldn't be linked to saves imo. not because "it makes the game too hard" but because it's just simply objectively poor game design to link it to saves. it doesn't teach the player to look harder.

i think probably the best solution is what kiki cakes described. have a mechanic where vic can "tune to the soul of the animal species after certain conditions are met" so vic can turn herself into a spirit form of said creature. that really hammer home how everyone is connected to the planet.

When will these fixes come to Xbox? I just checked and I still have no main quest. (Lost from teleporter bug).

Incidentally, a new bug seems to have appeared, where all the people I identified and took photos of no longer show an image. Perhaps that’s linked to me uninstalling the game and reinstalling?

Hi there,

we will try to push it sometimes next week as there is a certification process on MS platform and it can take some time. We will let you know once it's out.
(as for your issue with no main quest you can load previous autosave before activating teleporter and activate it once again and the quest should become active as intended)

I just don't like being locked out of completion on one play through. I didn't realize until the jungle that I would never see the creatures again, infected or not. And since I never opened the creature info until the jungle I didn't realize there were tasks beyond just pictures and rescuing them needed for completion.

It's really bummed me out and I probably won't continue until something is done to make 100% possible on one playthrough.

My main gripe is also being locked out of 100% the game in one playthrough, especially since a replay changes nothing for the ending. I really hope a free roam can be added with all areas unlocked and given different opportunities to capture the tehrabra healthy.

I had the quest bug but I restarted a new game and it worked but now I have another bug in not sure if you are aware of. I am in the swamp and rescue bots are showing up on my map but when I pull the flute out to rescue the creatures the boys disappear making it impossible to use. I cannot progress further because of this so it's a game changing bug that I have read other people are having as well. Such a shame because up until now I had put so many hours into doing everything in each area up to the swamp and now it's for nothing :(

Could I offer a suggestion, that discovered shrines and wind chimes be marked on the map? I finished the main story in the jungle but then spent about two hours trying to find the last shrine and several wind chimes (I ultimately gave up on one), and it'd be nice if the map would tell me where I've already looked. I can understand the camera upgrade not pointing them out (although maybe that could be an additional difficulty option for accessibility?), but having them on the map would help give hints as to where to look. Otherwise I'm really enjoying the game. :)

The Scout Bot coming in the next patch will reveal the collectibles of the biome.

That bug happened if you saved first the creatures from the other forest beacon. The error has been identified and it should be fixed. It's being tested and the fix will become available in the next update.
