Apparently you can't cure cancer as it's not technically an illness or a disease.

Cancer is, in oversimplistic terms, an uncontrollable cell growth problem, so the affected cells start multiplying fast, which can eventually be pick up in scans as tumors basically. So yes, and no, it's not exactly an illness or disease, but it is treatable, and there are many theories as to how it could be cured. Elephants carry something in their genetic code that basically makes them immune to cancer, so many researchers are trying to find out if cancer could be cured with some sort of genetic therapy (as cancer is mostly thanks to your genes in addition to lifestyle, e.g: 70 year olds that have smoked from decades that don't get cancer, while a 40 year old does, so, while there are many factors, the genetic aspect is an important part of it); other researchers that supposedly were close to finding cures have been killed by governments, hence the conspiracy theories and whatnot. There's plenty to look up, but I hope my comment added something to the conversation lol
