Duviri Circuit Softlocking (Invincible Jackal Boss)

Had a bug in which the Jackal boss in Steel Circuit Duviri was invulnerable because even though all the enemies between rounds were killed one didn't count as dead. I think i threw him off the side and there was no way to kill let alone find him, didn't show up on the map. It might also be a Grendel thing, as I've had softlocks before while using Grendel in the Circuit, I assume it having something to do with his whole shtick of eating and storing enemies?
Either way it would be nice to have some form of a safety net for this kind of thing (besides just straight up getting fixed of course) like a time limit to the enemies being considered alive like the end of Interception missions or the boss just not being invulnerable when the enemies show up, or the enemies just not showing up in general.
