Oxylus Scan bug?

I got tired of scanning plants manually and decided to get the Botanist mod for the sentinel. I want it to scan plants for the apothics. I ran 3 capture public lobby where I joined later and it wouldn't scan any plants, here is the thing if I go solo it would start scanning all the plants in the room. I just wanted to know if this is a bug? If so I guess I am going solo because scan is individual earned anyways.
