the way the game works, if you and i go in a mission togheter, you will connect on my pc and i will host you. if during the mission my internet craps out or i rage quit, you can no longer be connected to my pc because i left. so there will be a host migration to create a new lobby on your pc where you will get to continue playing.
it can be frustrating on longer missions when youre going 80 waves and someone leaves every 10-20 waves... but it cant be avoided.
the only fix would be to group up with people all willing to stay X waves. but even then, if the host has bad internet, it will trigger a host migration.
Another fix that does help alot is disabling the crossplay option. i recently turned it on to play with a friend who is on ps5 and ive noticed alot more connection issues than when i was only playing with pc players.
some missions will pull the entire team out when someone leave.
but many missions will give a choice screen. if you chose to stay while everyone else chose to leave, youll end up alone yes.
missions like survivals dont give a choice sccreen, players will simply head to extraction when theyre ready and extract solo.
