Mesa's Regulators shooting in burst fire
As the title says, my Mesa's Regulators are shooting in bursts instead of full auto. No matter what I do, from standing farther away to getting right up in their faces it doesn't help. It just always shoots at everything in bursts. It is not a hardware issue or a software issue. It's been a bug I've been experiencing for years now and since I first encountered it I've replaced my gaming setup in its entirety, from my PC to my mouse.

If this is not a bug, please do tell me.

hrm. the only thing i can see is a report that galvanized shot was bugged as of december of last year, not applying the correct bonus.

i dont see anything that should change the regulators to burst. and to be clear, you are correctly aiming center of mass, yes? regulators always hit in the abdomen/ groin area (center of the model.)

i know that with my own, it feels burst-like because i quickly kill all enemies in range, stopping my fire.

No matter the size of the targeting circle thingy (it starts out large and grows smaller over time, yes?), I just cannot get it to fire any differently. I've tried aiming at various parts of their bodies (which did include their heads, their chests, their abdomens and their groins), and with various parts of the circle centered on those body parts (exact center, slightly off-center, etc.), and also at various ranges and angles, but nothing helped.

I really don't know what's up with my mesa. Maybe I'll play around in the simulacrum sometime and do some more testing - it would certainly be easier to test stuff in there than in missions.

And it's not a case of me just killing them quickly and it then FEELING like burst-fire. I'm shooting Steel Path enemies with my regulators and even with just a single enemy in sight it will burst-fire at the thing instead of shooting full-auto. This makes it much harder to kill anything, as there's a second gap in-between bursts and it also doesn't ramp up to its full rate of fire before it gets interrupted. On lower level missions it's not an issue, as everything dies in a single shot, but on higher level missions where everything doesn't die in a single shot it is incredibly annoying.
