Glaive Prime decides it doesn't want to come back

I modded my Glaive Prime for as much damage as possible and put on Power Throw and Whirlwind so that i could use it with my Ivara frame, but whenever i use the Whirlwind mod [Adds 180% projectile speed for the Glaive], it is guarenteed that i will lose my Glaive in every mission i go to. The thing is, if you throw the glaive in a specific angle and it starts to make its way back to the player, it starts to make endless circles around them and eventually these circles get bigger and the Glaive goes out of the map and never comes back. I realize this is a problem with the Whirlwind mod, but it is such an important mod for the glaive since it gives it more range on its throw too, which means more bouncing around in rooms and for quick kills at long range. The only way i have found that i could get my Glaive back is by dying and respawning, which is not cool at all.

And since we are in the topic of Glaives, does anyone know how to stop the Glaive Prime from exploding in your face and insta-killing you everytime due to RNG bouncing? I have already used Quick Return but that ruins the fun with the Glaive and really kills the Navigator ability with Ivara when used. I would really appreciate it.

Can't stop the self damage, you need to careful where you aim. It's one of the reasons it was used on a chroma build to buff vex armour.

The circling of you was patched out a while back, but seems this latest update might have brought it back. If so it can be used to your advantage.
