allow my controller to passthrough steam-input?

this game (along with many others) had completely destroyed the compativility with regular controller after adding native Steam-input support, don't get me wrong, the stream controller is great at it's own right, but I want to play the game on a dualshock 4 and I want to have a few of the steam-input features such as the overlay on the home button, and the chord fueature, but it just not good at all with the output it gives, the mouse for the right touchpad is kinda nice, but is terrible for the right stick because the DS4 has no deadsoze whatsoever and it's super sensitive, the camera keeps tilting with every slight touch in the stick, and unless I keep it perfectly centered, the camera will forever be moving in some direction
well... soory for the blendered words, I just want to know if there's a way to let the DS4 or Xinput controllers to passthrough without having to disable steam-input altogether

In big picture mode go to settings and controller settings. Tick ps4 controller support then you can set up your controller through there and change the right input to something that suits you better.

I know, I've already done that.. but I don't want the game to detect a steam controller, I want it to detect the real controler instead of the emulated one... but for that I'd need to disable the overlay, abnd I don't want to do that because I want the chat screen on the BP mode

Do you have a steam controller plugged in as well?

I have both a steam and 360 controller connected and it auto detects which one I'm using and defaults to those settings, so I'm not sure why yours isn't.

Maybe try changing the controller preference order so that your dualshock is first.

no no, you got it all wrong, my controller is working and it's detected, but is detected as a steam controller instead of a DualShock 4 so the configuration is messed up
and I want to make the game ignore steam controllers and use the native DualShock 4 support without having to disable steam-input
