Mars to Ceres junction bugged [workaround fix solution]

I have killed this guy at least 10 times and still the prompt option to hit x and turn on the rail does not come up. I tried killing him with my gun and my melee but nothing works. I absolutely cannot continue....

EDIT -> workaround: So I killed the dude like 10 times using different warframes and weapons but still I could not access the junction. What I ended up doing was walking back to where I came in and pressing x on that door. Tenno gets into his ship and flys away. After this you can go to Ceres without actually going through with the cinematic sequence of enabling the junction. 

Hopes this helps people from the frustration I went through and it looks like a lot of people went through as well.

Just check you haven't already got the first node on the next planet unlocked already. If you have ever been taxi'd to it before you do the junction, then as it already has that node unlocked it causes the junction to think you are repeating it and doesn't display the prompt.

You are best raising a support ticket on the warframe website in any case.

I definitely had never been to Ceres before. Seems to be qiote a common problem when searching the net and it has pesisted for quite some time now. At least I got a work around for it but they really should quash this simple bug as people have been reporting it for months. I had boosters active and wasted a bit too much time trying to figure out what was wrong.
