Game won't lauch or start.

The game doesn't start. I click play in steam and the game doesn't even show a launcher that I'm suppose to see.

All other games work except this one. Just figured I would try it out but nothing works. Not even running the laucher outside of steam in the folder. It just sits in task manager then and have to end task, where through steam it tries to start but then crashes.

is there a way to launch the launcher without acceleration, anyways can't get the standalone launcher to work outside of steam either. I once got the prompt asking where would I like to install, then I get a peek at the full launcher for a moment and then it's gone, but still running in task manager. Running Admin doesn't do anything different.

To add:

I was able to get the launcher to kinda work by replacing libegl.dll and libGLESv2.dll from my waterfox installation. It even asks to start with admin privileges properly, but because the patcher sees these as modified it goes into a patch loop as it tries to update libEGL.dll even if I write protect the DLL's. But at least I could see the launcher, so I decided to say no to the admin prompt.

But once I deny the launcher admin I'm able to play with the launcher settings (The little gear) and check and uncheck things. So I unchecked "Launcher GPU acceleration", then I was able to un-protect libGLES and let it patch to original and then I got the license agreement. Game updated and is now in working order. Hope a dev can push this upstream, or at a minimum a command line option for the launcher like -SAFEMODE

I'm going to say this; it's a really really bad idea to GPU accelerate your launcher as it brings nothing to it in most cases. The patcher is suppose to be a failsafe and should by default run like safemode.

Another way to fix is just DELETE libEGL and libGLESv2 from your warframe folder in the vc14

\Steam\SteamApps\common\Warframe\Tools\CEF3_1\VC14

when it asks for elevated privilages say NO. The patcher will complain about required admin to work. Click the gear and uncheck "Launcher GPU Acceleration" close the launcher again and it run it like normal and YES this time, to admin prompt.

The launcher will run twice to download the missing files and hopefully you can see the launcher again.

You got to be kidding me?!?.. Are you serious.. this is still an issue? I have played warframe for 3+ month straight but haven't touched the setting once set, and I will never accelerate the launcher just because of this. I'm glad you got it working tho, it's a great game and having a blast grinding my gear.
