any mod farming tips for a noob?
i have been playing for a while now but have not been getting any good mods, my best one is silver. does any one know a good place to farm mods fast and easy? i am mastery rank 1, have a level 15 ash, with a level 17 (or something like that) mk1 Paris and a level 12 (or something like that) Lato. as melee i have level 7 dual heat swords. i am mainly looking for a place where i can grind away for mods while fighting grineer(:Grineer::Grineer::Grineer:) if possible but dont have an actual problem with fighting corpus(:Corpus::Corpus::Corpus:)

PS; if you post a location please write the name, planet, kind of mission and faction... thanks in advance

My best advice is to look at the mods on the wiki and see if you are able to get them from enemy types you have access to. And if not, if you are considering spending money, get to MR2 and trade your platinum with players for the mods you want.

But really, with that account I'd just try and get my bearings, do missions and gradually improve my arsenal if I were you. Rushing things like that is either an immense grind that will burn normal persons out rather quickly or an expensive endeavour, depending on what mods you want.

well i am an optimistic :Grineer::Grineer::Grineer:hole so i am honestly mainly looking for master thief as that will greatly increase my profit from looting..... and yes i know it is something that will most likely not happen soon

Eh, as a player with a bit of experience in the game, I would say that Master Thief is not really going to help you out a lot. Especially not in Grineer missions as e.g. the lockers in Jupiter have a lot more credits in them.

But if credits are an issue, getting further on in the game you will be able to easily do missions for so much credits you won't be even bothering with any lockers anymore. So in fact my advice still is the same. Of course everyone gets their own enjoyment out of a game like Warframe so I'm really not trying to tell you how to do things if you have differing plans. ^^

well credits are no problem but i the reason i am interested in it is 'just in case'... but still, thanks a lot:LotusFlower::Grineer::Excalibur::Corpus::Corpus::Excalibur::Grineer::LotusFlower:
The best way to "farm" a certain faction of enemy I've found, is to run the invasion/infestation alerts. They are full of people who are trying to finish the the mission as quickly as possible by spamming everything at their disposal, and will pretty much do all the work for you. Add to that, the sheer number of enemies typically involved in those missions, and they're basically 5 min strolls down free drops lane.

thanks.. i'll give it a try
Good rare mods farming option is nightmare missions on planets - after completion you will receive at least one rare mod (gold mod). Another one is to run specially marked defence/survival missions against infested on each planet. Or missions in Void.

Those are just for the dual stat nightmare mods though. Regular gold mods will have to be dropped by their respective mobs.

do spy missions, they can give some good rare mods

On egk2's point, fighting enemies like the Lynx or doing Syndicate missions give me a lot of rare mods. Lynx can be found in Grineer spy missions by setting off alarms.

umm... did you mean Manics? If so, you don't need a spy mission to spawn them. They spawn in any mission type were you can set off the alarm.

The Lynx is a Corpus unit.
well thanks to all for those tips
For Credits: Do Dark Sector Defenses. Only 5 waves, of a level you can comfortably handle. You will make credits very quickly versus other missions, but you will NOT make additional credits for remaining after five waves. So do five and get out.

For Mods: Spy and Excavation missions. Look both up on the Wiki; make sure you know what you're getting into with both mission types. Spy missions will almost always grant you a rare mod. Excavation missions are also a great place to get rares, but can be tough - at least, until you get a Nyx and a Fleeting Expertise, at which point they become more hilarious than hard.

But start with Dark Sector defenses you can handle. You will make credits so fast you will just run past lockers.

thanks for the detailed tip man
You guys are awesome, I know this is an old thread but it was very helpful. Warframe seems to have a way cooler community than most games of this type.
