The New War - Last Boss Fight issues
Hello there everybody,

Although I've 'only' started this quest arounda year later to its original release I'm now struggling to get the other Narmer Lenses positioned around the arena in which Eidolon Lotus tries to beam kill shoot me into oblivion at Ballas' request after getting the last Archon Shard swipped from me.

I already got one down and then killed the Narmer Deacons that appeared easily, but alas no matter how long or good angles I get to shoot the lenses it seems that I never manage to get it down in the middle and/or for long enough for it to shatter. :baa:
So, and due to the already explained above, I'd like extra pointers that could ease my life doing that horrid and very colourful quest (i.e., and I'm glad that I'm not epileptic). :winter2019happybulb:

move your mouse slowly in the area the mirrors are in to hover over them long enough to shatter them. kinda feel like that would be obvious but here we are

It was obvious, but the overglow that I get from reflecting Natah's beam into those Narmer lenses is making extremelly difficult to aim and/or view properly past the 1st one. No matter how low I get "Brightness" upon the game's options it's still a real pain in the a**e to aim properly and/or long enough for those lenses to shatter, past the 1st one.

And, yet here we are... you've provided zero constructive solutions onto what I've said before. Thanks, for that... smarmy nothing. :baa:

so the glare of the beam causes you to forget the position of the mirror you saw literal seconds ago, this is what you're trying to sell? they are big ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ red disks that don't move.

For pitty's sake, I can recall where they are and can fully aim at those but they seem harder to shatter past crashing the 1st one.

Again, if you don't have anything constructive to add into solving the issue then please restrain yourself from acting like an wisea**e.

in that case, tweak your mouse sensitivity and turn off any settings relating to "glare"

and instead of taking everything as a personal attack, try actually reading

I lowered even more my already below 1/2 mouse sensitivity and no matter which disk I shatter down 1st after that those seem to be unbreakable. And thus, I'm still pondering of the quest might actually be bugged at the present time.

And I do try to read instead of taking anything as a personal attack. It was you 1st post in this thread with that astounding "... kinda feel like that would be obvious but here we are" that sounded so freaking pedantic that made me start reacting that way. And in the course of your participation upon this very thread it only seemed to slightly diminuish until that last post of yours.

Finally did the quest. It was simply a forking matter of placing myself always around 45º degress to the left side of the Lotus when she was about to fire that made me sure that was hitting those disks always pretty much facing'em right in front of me in a perpendicular way instead of sometimes hitting those slightly sideways which didn't work out.

I'm finding myself stuck with this same issue.
Every time that beam of hers hits it's also a fight against my aim being hijacked and a seemingly specific tiny open window where the deflected beam isn't being blocked by hers.

And no it's not that I can't aim nor see the rings, just that the reflected beam itself isn't even able to reach it in the first place

Honestly probably mostly just needed to vent frustration after being stuck there for awhile.
I think it ended up helping too cause the beam started to properly work again for me shortly after and I was able to take care of the last three I was stuck on.

It seems this stage of the quest has a pretty significant bug Herozen was fortunate enough not to encounter.
From my experience after the first lens is broken a bubble of invisible collision forms around the player stopping the outgoing beam. It has tiny cracks in it and you sort of just have to get lucky with really specific angles. Putting significant distance (like the entire arena) between yourself and Lotus can make it easier for your beam to slip through the cracks.

I got it fixed by jumping of the map. After the "reapearing" the I-frames were gone, and the beam actually hit what it was aimed at

This fixed it exactly, thanks.
