If you hear a jingle when you break/open some things that's an ayatan star. You press a certain button when close enough to loot it. These automatically get an icon stamp applied to them so all players know about it.
Credits are pocketed and given to you at the end of a successful mission.
Red orbs are health, blue orbs are energy.
There are some items that may appear in certain spots each mission which you need to press a button to pick up. They can be ayatan statues or marks for the various syndicates (these only appear on syndicate missions).
All items that don't need the pick up button pressed will just need you relatively close to get added to your 'pocket' and are totaled when you successfully finish the mission. Quitting or failing takes nearly everything away.
