1. Build a copy of one of the starter frames (all are easy to get either from bosses or the dojo), then buy a set of the MK1 weapons from the market (they cost credits and are already built). Only let yourself play frames and weapons you've helped your friend farm, and try to limit yourself to mods they have as well.
2. play support and boost their survivability and damage.
3. let them pick primary, secondary, or melee, and give them 4-5 of the basic mods for that weapon class + carry them through a Maroo statue hunt. That will give them enough endo to rank up several 3-5 rank mods and let them see the difference in power from that basic form of investment. I usually hand them a couple 60/60 mods that I have extras of + a few extras (total of 6 to make one full trade). I then tell them I was given the same when I started and to "pass it on" someday.
