Any recommendations for solo killing a Necramech?
I tried Radiation Damage, I tried using the Exalted Blade, I tried just running around in circles trying to shoot it in the back, and the first level Vault Necramech just refuses to die. Bear in mind that I am MR11 (Which means I don't have a lot of good mods) and haven't done The New War yet, precisely because I wanted Necramech mods for it, since I have no idea how hard it'll be and haven't spoiled myself on it.

Does anyone have any recommendations for how I can kill it? So far, I've killed it a grand total of once, which was via shooting it in the back with a Rubico whilst a 3-star Specter distracted it, which took a long time and is such a hilariously-unbalanced resource exchange that I couldn't hope to keep that up.

Hi,

it depends on what you have available...
- I usually use rubico and Octavia (stay invisible while it attacks the mallet)
- Assimilate Nyx equipped with Stropha or Redeemer seems to work too (haven't tried ... see : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6Pu_kiP4jM )
- Rhino or Khora can stall the Mech for a few seconds

Don't have Octavia, Nyx, Rhino or Khora. I have Inaros Prime, Excalibur, Excalibur Umbra and Nekros. Currently crafting Loki but I read that his invis is useless against Necromech, they just nullify it?

I used the Xoris and its explosions to 'peel' it and added 'Shattering Impact' which reduces armor per hit, though not sure if that had that much of an impact.
Ran on Mesa and was mostly untouchable due to Shattershield and Life Strike, but I guess Inaros can do something simlar for you?
Was still kind of a slugfest against the shield mech, but pretty sustainable and easy.

im MR5 i can one shoot necramech with xoris+armor strip
for xoris build check youtube xoris heavy build
for armor strip you can use unairu or you hero like nekros/mag to strip their armor to 0

My approach is to tear of the arms and then go for melee. Without arms they are just annoying.
I like to play Frost with Latron Wraith, Staticor and Kesheg. Don't have rivens for those but most mods at my disposal. Frost can help by slowing down to get better shots.

However, I wasn't able to handle necramechs for a while too, until I got some decent mods to improve my damage.

I would recommend to try different weapons, that you like to use, if you want to do focus dmg.
Also punch through and armor stripping can be very helpful in this combat.

Easiest I've found is to I use a Voidrig Necramech. Pretty much just go into turret mode and the bomb it out of existence.

If that's not an option for you, AoE spam seems to be the jist of what works best.

At first when I didn't had a Necramech I just used my Excalibur Umbra and my Zaw secret build to shatter them to pieces in seconds. Now I just use the Necramech 4th ability to melt them as it is a lot faster.
Alternatively it also possible to use Mesa 4 skilll with Viral damage to melt them pretty quickly too. Contrary to what most people believe they are not immune to it. However it is a bit tricky to hit the weak spots of the arms and the back doing so. As it requires some precise positioning and luck.
