Mastery Rank Lock 5, hmmm, okay, must be a good or decent weapon, right?

Only damage type is about 35 electricity. And it's so slow..... So, this is basically MR fodder, right? Rank it up, get MR points, then sell it off?

It has a reasonably high status-chance, and the lack of IPS-damage can help if you want to proc elemental damage.

Add some additional elements to it, and increase status-chance as much as possible. You probably want to use your primary/secondary to kill the target(s) though.

Hmmm, I'll see if it's viable for me. It seems like MR fodder though. I'll have a better opinion once I try it. I'll use your advice and see how it goes, thank you!

Not sure where you get that it being locked in MR5 since the weapon is unlocked from MR0.

Years ago, way way back, before melee 2.0, the Plasma Sword was only valuable for the fact that it had the highest crit chance ( still only 15%, so imagine how pathetic that was ) of any Sword. It also did I think physical damage, with only electricity on slam attacks.

It, as well as the majority of all those Alert swords/melees, are all relics of an older time in the game. They were unique for their aesthetics, and some had neat innate bonuses like the Pangolin Sword's damage buff against Infested, but that was it. Now, they're even more obsolete.

Considering the current highest MR-lock on a weapon is 15 (Aklex Prime), I'm not really feeling that logic.

I'm thinking of the fact that they only redid the mastery rank requirements for primary and secondaries and haven't done it for melees yet.

AS : 0.6 = SLOW AF.
Block Resist : 60% = Decent
Damage : 35 Elec = add toxin mod, and make it corro. Sweet.
crit : 15% = standard, therefore crit multiplier doesn't matter
Status : 15% = For an element based weapon, it's kinda low
Disposition : 5 = (Higher Dispo means higher Riven number modifier) RIVEN VIABLE.

(+) innate elec stat, Riven can crank this weapon up quite high (but you prolly want [Primed Fury] first), good aesthetic
(-) slow, low damage, low crit low status chance

But I found myself interested in this weapon. You see, riven is a game-changing thing. Sure it won't be meta. But isn't it cool if you modify weak weapon into viable weapon? Especially, Plasma Sword is good looking.

I saw the Burston Prime MR, and I lol'ed.

Also, yeah the plasma sword does look cool, a shame I sold it before giving it a chance. But, I probably never would've used it anyway. I maxed it for MR, then sold for space for more weapons
