Weakened infested pets
I'm trying to get the rarer weaker infested pets, and I actually caught the rarer forms of the predesite and vulpaphyla. However, for some reason, when I go to create my pet with the antigens/mutagens, sonny-boy is telling me I don't have the necessary creature?
Even though I know he saved my progress, because he clearly has the tags for them.

Does anyone know what's going on here? Is there a below-100% drop rate when we capture these creatures or something?

Well if you caught it, you would see the tags for them in the creation menu. If you don't see the tags, it's because you either didn't catch them or you traded away the tags for tokens.

Did you check they are actually WEAKENED?
Sometimes you just tranq them and they arent weakened yet.
Make sure if you see one to tranq them and then lure infested near it so it takes 1-2 hits and then get it

Oh, I didn't actually realize that. So they actually have to be damaged first.

...Ooh, this sounds really tricky.

...Ooh, this sounds really tricky.
If you have done the Jordas precept then you will have phelriac pods, just drop one of those to attract infested to you.

it sounds more tricky than it is. Most of the time you find atleast one infested nearby. Just keep in mind your companions might kill the infested x)

Take a weak secondary or melee weapon without mods, find them, wound them and then use the tranq rifle. Some of you like to make things seem harder than they actually are. If you do just enough damage to make them unconscious you can skip the tranq rifle and do the capture.

Apparently it's even easier than that. They're invincible after you tranq 'em, so you and the enemies can just go to town.
