Simaris' Synthesis Scanner

The worst part is that my time farming points to buy all the scan widget upgrades are wasted. Besides Sol Battery, any other "upgrade" is lame because there's no difference appreciated. If the upgrade that makes scans faster would be instant instead, I'd get happy but for now it doesn't worth it. Cross matrix upgrade is still giving me low points per scan, I know it does not say ALL of the scans but still there's no difference when you get a single scan than a duplicated scan - for me, its the same with or without this particular "upgrade".

I encourage all players to avoid purchasing any other scan upgrades besides Sol Battery right now, don't waste your time - seriously, I warned you.

I find all 3 widgets to be very useful.
Can scan targets without haveing to go buy and use traps.
Can scan kavats with just the help of my Inaros' pocket sand. No need for sleep Ivara or Equinox.
Get double the chances for kavat codes or generally farm plants much faster due to getting 2 at a time quite often.

I mean it all really depends on what you're doing with your scanner but the other widgets should be considered. You really save time by using them.

I just feel it takes the same time before and after the speed upgrade to scan stuff. It's too slow. Btw, I wanted Cross Matrix to double the points and not the chances of obtaining items which I assumed that it would do both things. Anyways, if some player would get the same idea than me, this is just cleared out.

Actually, the Synthesis Scanner does not give you Kavat Codes.
The Cross Matrix does double your plant scans although.

Well I am can only say I think they do give Kavat codes since its the only thing I use to scan and I had enough also the wikia seems to agree:

But I ll admit I have not really done much kavat code farming so maybe the normal scanner has an advantage.

I only use the simaris scanner. And I still get the kavat codes.
Why would it not give them lol

Wierd i can do ayatan treasures on derelict but not the normal map with keys. So as of getting kavat codes it will never happen for me. sigh!

I can't play the maps of derelict to get these items but would like to trade for them as in mods or what not.

Ok guys one thing I found out: the upgrade Cross Matrix (I believe that's the name) indeed doubles the Kavat Codes you take from them but since is really strange to get one, it barely works - I got 21 codes testing that upgrade by myself. Another thing I found on the other upgrade only works for Synthesis Scanner Targets which makes you instant scan all the Target's points. However taking one point but missing the next one (or the mob goes invisible) will reset the instant scan. So in conclusion, I still think the Sol Batery is the only upgrade worth for 50 thousand Simaris points.

Then explain how I got kavat DNA from scanning kavats with a synth scanner.

Waits for kavat dna trade at relay. Time past and turns into bone dust. Some kid grabs me for a new skyrim enchant to learn new alchemic recipies. Game over!
