How to save the Solaris Volunteers

i am having the hardest time saving any of the solaris in this new mission. i am doing what the screen is telling me and i even looked up that i have to use the alt fire button after ive thrown the glave but nothing is happening. HELP

I have a couple of theories:

1. Are you wielding the Glaive along side a One-Handed Secondary weapon?
If so you hold your 'melee' key to throw and Tap 'melee' while it's in flight to to detonate it.

2. Something more specific to this quest:
You need to kill 3 of the corporeal versions of the specters with the Xoris to charge it, there are 3 marks on the right of your reticle, when they turn orange it is charged. Once charged the mid-flight detonation will be different, it is much larger, and produces a massive disk of blue particles. This charged detonation is what you use to free the trapped Solaris.

i have tried using the melee button mid flight to detonate but nothing happens. i have also tried using the glave without the sidearm and i cant seem to throw it at all. i am so confused

Well it should be the same button to detonate as it is to throw.

When wielding the glaive by itself it should be your heavy attack button to throw and detonate, for me this is Middle Mouse Button.

Go to your options (so, Menu -> Options -> Customise Key Bindings (or Customise Controller if that's what you're using) and see what your 'Melee Heavy Attack' (or 'Secondary Fire / Heavy Melee' for controller) is bound to.

Holding Alt Fire ( usually middle mouse button ) launches glaive.

But for Granum Void you need to first "Charge up" the glaive by killing 3 specters with glaive.
You will see 3 dots appear on side of aimer. 1 dot appears for each specter killed by gliave.

When you get 3 dots ( turns red ) your glaive is fully charged.
Then throw gliave, and then when it reaches one of the prisioners press alt fire again to detonate it.

This will free the prisioner.

for the Sub-space thing?

you have to mega-charge the xoris first by defeating spectues with the xoris throw and blast.

you'l see a special icon thing on the screen. when all 3 of the things are lit up
THEN throw at the captured corpus and boom to free them
