guide to ivara?

not sure how to use her abilites beyond invisibility, how do you use her different arrow types and her other stuff?

I believe the default control settings make it so you hold 1 ( or your Cast Ability binding ) to swap between her Quiver arrows, and pressing it will shoot what is selected. There is an option in the Control settings to swap it, so holding is what casts and pressing is what swaps. You unlock the use of the extra arrows as she ranks up, as the ability ranks up 3 times on her way to rank 30

If you have access to Vault mods (blind rage, narrow minded and such) you can mess around with different builds of her aswell. Making some arrows crit for over 100k damage using her navigation

for some reason im still very confused, to elaborate: how do i use her abilities? by the way im using a controller. i have her arrows unlocked, etc but i cant seem to use them despite selecting one

If you hold the button you use to change the arrow it should fire the arrow.

Regarding The rest of her kit:
Navigator (Her 2nd ability):
Mostly a toy, activate it prior to firing a projectile and you can fly it around. you can also activate it while a projectile is in flight. This works for bows, non-hitscan guns, Quiver, and even glaives and spearguns.

Artemis Bow (Her 4th ability):
Activating it will make you equip her Artemis bow. Firing it costs energy and it produces a fan of arrows. Charging it will change the angle of the spread (tapping will produce a vertical spread, at max charge it will produce a horizontal spread). Deals the same damage regardless of charge level

how do i know when the bow type is activated? i do select one but it just doesnt feel any different

Can you elaborate?

I'm assuming this is talking about Quiver (Ivara's first ability)

Tapping the ability key will cycle between 4 ammo types:
Cloak (Purple):
Produces a glowing field where the arrow lands, any ally that enters the field will become invisible.
Dashwire (Yellow):
Produces a wire from Ivara's feet to where the arrow lands, You and allies are able to use the wire to aid in traversal.
Noise (Red):
Makes a sound at the point of impact causing nearby unalerted enemies to walk towards it.
Sleep (Blue):
Puts enemies near the point of impact to sleep.

Holding the ability key will produce a filling ring around your reticle. when the ring is complete the arrow that is current selected is fired.

There is a setting in the options that will swap the tap and hold behaviour.
