idk why your sentinal not working but you need scaners on you for helios to work. And the kdrive is given at the end of that vox quest.

The K-Drive LAUNCHER is given at the end of the Vox Solaris quest, not the K-Drive itself, you need to go see the Vent Kids about the actual K-Drive.

My Helios is also not scanning anything In Orb Vallis. Unknown.

Helios has been broken since the Chimera update. Chimera broke a lot of stuff and DE hasn't patched anything for almost 3 weeks so it'll most likely remain broken for nother month.

Edit: I forgot to mention alternatives to Helios. Try using the Heliocor/Synoid Heliocor or Atlas with his Ore Gaze augment. Sadly though, this is limited to enemies you can kill and not other stuff like objects, crates, resources, etc.

Helios was broken for me until I swapped it back to Deconstructor, after which it was scnning so much on the Vallis it was actually getting a little annoying.

And to the K-Drive: Run the intro story in Fortuna to completion. Doing so will get you a K-Drive Launcher (gear item) that allows you to summon your K-Drive. You default have a Drive, but it cannot be modded (yes, there are K-Drive mods, we really Tenno Hawk Pro Skater boi) and cannot have its appearance altered. To get a real plank, gotta give 'em Ventkids some scratch, glinty!

I was wrong, you DO get a K-Drive aftter Vox Solaris, just equip the Launcher in your Gear Wheel and use it out in Orb Vallis.

To add to previous answers - the free board is a basic one, you need to make/buy your own to customise and add mods.
